The app was super easy to use, and looked absolutely fantastic. You guys did a great job. Thanks for working so well in the limited time frame we had.

Mack Trucks approached us for some ideas for their 50th Year Anniversary Celebration at the 2013 Brisbane Truck Show.
After some discussions, it became clear that they were looking for a way to get to know more about their customers. The idea for the ‘Real Stories’ App was borne.
The Real Stories iOS App records people as they answer three questions; two based on how they interact with Mack Trucks, and the third giving them the opportunity to ask Mack Trucks a question.
Once an entry is submitted, entrants automatically go into a draw to win the grand prize – a tour of the Mack Trucks factory in Brisbane. They can also choose to share the app on Facebook & Twitter.
The video entries are compressed and uploaded to a special server where they can be retrieved and viewed as required. The ‘Real Stories’ iOS App was featured in special iPad kiosks at the 2013 Brisbane Truck Show – the 5th biggest transport equipment show in the world – with a crowd of more than 35,000 visitors.
Here you can see the similarities between the wireframe and the finished product. This is a great example of how wire-framing helps keep the focus on planning rather than worrying about design in the early stages of development.
We decided to make a custom landing page for the application. This enabled us to:
We integrated two forms of social sharing.
For the iPhone version, the built-in Facebook and Twitter API from iOS 6 was used.
For the iPad version, featured at the Brisbane 2013 Truck Show, ShareKit was used. This allows users to share via Facebook & Twitter without saving their details to the device.
Existing imagery created for the 50 year Anniversary was used in combination with clean and bold fonts and buttons to create a sleek, professional and user-friendly design with loads of visual appeal.
For the Brisbane Truck show, we updated the app to work on iPad devices. Originally we chose a more traditional ‘landscape’ layout, but after testing we realised that using the front-facing camera, the app uses is much nicer to use in portrait mode.
We put out heart and soul into every project. We want to build things we can be proud of.
